Water Filtration Media

What is Filtration Media?

Water Filtration media, or filter media is any compound used for the filtering of dirty water into clean water. It is used to change the quality of the water that flows through the water filtration system, and comes in a wide variety of compositions, typically granular or powdered in nature. Filtration media is used in purification of chemicals found in water ( like iron, manganese and arsenic removal ), bad odors, taste, suspended solids, and more. The filter media is placed in layers within the filter bed, allowing multiple levels of filtration and purification to occur.

Not all media is the same however, and requires some knowledge and expertise on sourcing and selecting the appropriate media that is best suited for filtering out what you may need. It is recommended you contact an experienced rep to get help in selecting the right media for you, based on issues present with the project, flow rates, and any information associated with the type of filtration you're seeking.
