  4. Permeable Reactive Barriers (PRBs): PRBs are installed underground to filter out contaminants as groundwater flows through them. These barriers contain reactive materials, such as activated carbon or iron filings, that neutralize or capture pollutants. PRBs are low-maintenance and highly effective for long-term treatment.


  5. Phytoremediation: This eco-friendly method uses plants to absorb, degrade, or contain contaminants in groundwater. Certain plants have the ability to extract heavy metals or break down organic pollutants. Phytoremediation is a sustainable option but works best in areas with mild contamination levels.
