Requirement: Remove suspended solids to 15 microns from cooling tower water.

Flow Range: 750 GPM

Special Factors: Consistent 750 GPM flow required ,even during filter backwash; line pressurization is not adequate downstream of filter.

Solution: A CTS-Series Cooling Tower Filter, model CTS48-3A, automatic cooling tower filter system consisting of three (3) 48" diameter pressure filters and a 480 volt, 3 phase TEFC pump with starter and automatic controls. System is skid-mounted and valved to draw backwash water from a domestic water line. A pressure sustaining valve maintains adequate pressure on the discharge line.

Industry: Any Industry with a Cooling Tower or Water Used for Cooling

Requirement: Remove organic and inorganic suspended solids to 5 microns from cooling tower water.

Flow Range: 250 GPM

Special Factors: Because the system consists of a single tank, water for backwashing the filter must be supplied from an external source (either a domestic water line or a storage tank containing clean water)

Solution: A CTS-Series Cooling Tower Filter, model CTS48-1A, automatic cooling tower filter system with a 7.5 horsepower, 3 phase TEFC pump. System is valved to draw backwash water from domestic water line. Solid-state electronic automatic controls manage backwash and pump operation. System draws water from a tower basin and recirculates it.
